2006 - Why aren't we 'Teleported' to work by now?
Someone may be able to help me here? I think this was an old cover of 'Mechanics Illustrated' or something like that. It was a picture on the cover of a magazine that showed everyone commuting to work in a small helicopter? This was the prediction of the future as they saw it then. Maybe it was in the 1940' or 50's? How wrong they were!
Now that you have a digital camera or video camera, everyone will take their own pictures of every event and publish them in minutes! OK, sounds feasible? Or does it? How inclined are you to fix all your own plumbing because all the parts are down the corner just waiting for a good handyman like you? Right... We'd like to think you have a life? Hire a Pro! That's our philosophy.
--------------------------------------------
It's 2006 and the digital world is heating up with no relaxation in sight. Digital camera manufacturers are concentrating more on speed and better overall handling than on increasing the number of pixels per shot. Although, sooner or later the number of pixels desired is bound to increase? Most consumer and so-called 'pro-sumer' cameras are sticking around 5-8 Megapixels in 2006. Let's get something straight. There's no such thing as pro-sumer!!! It muddies the water and there's no need to confuse terms.
"A professional uses whatever they need to get the job done and a consumer spends whatever they can to get what they want without necessarily knowing what they need or want."
That's a mouthful but worth reading a few times. I'm glad I thought of it! You can quote me. Read more on the Editorial Page if you like.
Need a professional to videotape your next event? Need a photographer? How about a video editor to give you the finished touches now recognized by the Academy Awards as one of the most important jobs in Hollywood? Send us an email. It's free and we are so sure that we don't invade your privacy we've already forgotten who you are...
Don't be afraid to ask!
